People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care

About Us
Our Philosophy
The above quote has rung true in the formation of my business. I always like to start off by introducing myself because we may need to share some delicate information to get to the Medicare Health Plan that is right for you. Of course, everyone is unique and deserves individual attention in deciding what works best for them.
John F. Egger
Independent Licensed Insurance Agent
My name is John Egger, and I have been specializing in Medicare health plans since 2015. I spent many years in financial services after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal college of business in 1994.
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune disease in the mid-2000s, which made me no longer able to work, and in 2009 I was awarded Medicare based on my status as a Social Security Disability recipient.
I was surprised and annoyed by the confusion that ensued after my Medicare took effect. I learned all I could about the process and decided, once I was well enough, to reenter the workforce by helping others avoid the missteps that I made in the initial setup of my personal coverage.
My Empathy has made me committed to not doing what was done to me by an insurance agent who did not work hard enough to find out what was best for me at the time. I was sold a product that was not in my best interest, and it took me years to correct that mistake.
This has led to my business Philosophy:
Delaware Valley Medigap
“You have worked hard for your Medicare coverage, and we promise to work hard sharing the Truth on how that coverage works best for you.”
